Dedicated Space

The best deals frequently come from bulk purchasing, but storage in your home country may not be a viable option. Therefore, we offer very reasonable warehousing rates that allow customers to save on bulk ordering. Since we control and export out of our own facility we are able to provide a Just in Time inventory solution that keeps your inventory on hand to a minimum while keeping your customer service level high. A frequent concern of long distance customers is often that they will be unable to track what they have in storage and therefore lose efficiency. With our warehouse LiveTrack software we are able to offer our customers the ability to login to our system in order to have real time updates on their inventory and shipping status.

The Living Centre , Bermuda


Background

The Living Centre (“TLC”) is a large furniture company on the Island of Bermuda, owning over 70% of the Island’s furniture stores. Because customer service is essential and a stock of furniture is needed for quick delivery as TLC grew so did their warehousing needs.

Problem

Since real estate supply is so tight on the Island TLC was paying an extremely large amount of money to warehouse their goods on the Island. Furthermore, all products that are imported to the Island are subject to immediate import tariff. Therefore, TLC’s cash flow was constantly strained between warehousing and tariff on product where no money is collected until after delivery.

Value Created

Global is able to provide TLC with satellite warehousing in the U.S. at less than half the price of the Island that allowed TLC bring its warehousing space on the Island down to the bare minimum. Global’s software provides customers with real time inventory tracking via the Internet. Customer service is still high because orders can arrive to Bermuda in as little as four (4) days. Finally, cash flow restraints are eased as TLC only imports the goods that are already sold and tariff money paid is quickly recovered as the sale is finalized shortly after product’s arrival.
